Hess Adopting Truculent Attitude

TREATMENT NOT IN KEEPING WITH EXALTED STATION! Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, May 24. Hess is now reported to be adopting a truculent attitude, insisting on treatment in accordance with his high position in the Nazi Government, says the Daily Telegraph. He is demanding special food and comforts, saying that he has plenty of money. The truculence is probably due to a gradual realisation that he is being treated strictly as a military prisoner. Mr. Ivore Kirkpatrick, who has been interviewing Hess, has returned to London and will make a comprehensive report for transmission to the Government.
