Lonely Labourite on Auckland City Council

AUCKLAND, May 23. Only one change has taken place iu the personnel of the new City Council as a result of the completion of the official count of votes recorded at the municipal election. The declaration of the poll was made by the city returning officer and this revealed that Mr. W. B. L. Power, who was placed with the 21 members required on the figures of the provisional count, loses his place on the council and is replaced by Mr M. J. Moodabe. As both were nominees of the Citizens and Ratepayers’ Association that organisation has still 20 representatives on the council. Mrs Dreaver is the only Labour member.
