Six Air Force Trainees Injured

CAB LEAVES BOAD ON MT. STEWART A sensational midnight motor smash occurred on Mt. btewart last night when a car containing a party of six Air Force trainees proceeding from Palmerston North to Ohakea left the road and somersaidted two or three times, finally coining to rest in the gully below. All six members of the party were more or less severely injured. The Feilding police and the hospital ambulances were summoned to the scene and the men were rushed to the Palmerston North Hospital. The extent of the injuries suffered by the victims could not be ascertained at 2 o’clock this morning, nor their full names and addresses. They are, however, believed to be Messrs. Griffin, Barrett, de Poux, Kelly, Love and Stevenson.
