Air. D. B. Roive (Rongotea) wa elected to the general committee of thFeilding A. and I*. Association at it meeting last evening.
A motion of sympathy to the rela-th-es of the late Air. F. J. Ellis, of Bulls, was carried at last evening's annual meeting of the Feilding A. and P. Association.
At last evening’s annual meeting of the Feilding A. and P. Association a resolution of sympathy to the relatives of the late Air. G. J. J. Buchanan, president of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association, was carried in silence.
The Feilding A. and P. Association at its meeting last evening passed vo-'tgs of sympathy to Air. E. Burrell and family and Air. J. H. Gilchrist and family in connection with the news of their sons being Avounded in action. The folloAving hockey players will represent Feilding at Palmerston North this afternoon (bus leaves P.O. at 1.30 p.m. sharp)Packer, Peterson, Cook, Cherry, Pilcher, True, Tait, Robinson, Wells, Brandt, Alai, Thurston, Harrington, Raven.
The fact that the Feilding A. and P. Association’s farm operations produced a profit of £245 last year was the subject of congratulatory references to Air. H. D. Brewste-r at last evening’s annual meeting of the association. It was declared to be a noteworthy achievement.
Speaking to the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet at last evening’s meeting of the Feilding A. and P. Association, Air. W. G. Booth (president) paid a tribute to the work of the secretary, Aliss D. Aliller, to whom, ho said, was due much of the credit for the success of the show (applause).
The following members of the Feilding Women’s Hockey Club will travel to Hokowhitu to-day (bus leaves at 1.30 p.m.):—Alesdames M. Packer, A. Waaka, H. Lewis, O. Lawiton, B. Cowan, Alisses Z. Znowles, P. 'Simpson, J. Stoneley, J. Fraser, H. Te Oka, B. Te Oka, D. Simeon, P. Simeon, Y. Knight, T. Sandilands.
Dr. Allan G. Rutter, Alethodist medical missionary iu the Solomon Islands, is at present visiting New Zealand and is to speak at the Feilding Alethodist Church to-morrow evening. Dr. Rutter is a Alasterton boy who took his degrees at Dunedin and completed his studies at the School of Tropical Aledicine in London. Ho has been in the Solomons for about six years.
