Vitality is in Vogue
Life moves apace and our busy, crowded days exact a toll on strength and nerves. Yet langours are out. Pale hands may be pinx tipped, but they have more to do than toy with lotus buds. Ladyhood is a matter of keeping appointments, of wearing a crisp and pleasant air at all times, of lifting instead of leaning. And women, versatile creatures, have swung into the new movement with vigour. That corsetry plays such an important part to-day is significant of tho times. Trimmer, more poised, more efficient, we attack our pijblems braced by our foundations. And what a lot of 11 backbone ’ ’ and optimistic “front” a few ounces of cleverly constructed net and lace can lend!
A talk with a trained corsetiere is revealing. She takes her work as seriously as a nurse takes her. Art and science combine in her wares and beautiful modern contrulottes persuade the spirit as much as they do the flesh. If you are still ono of fashion’s renegades and merely order your foundations over tho counter oir by letter, or are clinging to a fitting that once did, or an outmoded stylo, visit a corseticro and see what she can do for you. Figures change even if measurements remain the same. The new fashions call for a new silhouette, for young uplift bosom treatment, lengthened torso and lines from underarm to thigh, and for a trim waist.
Borrow new vitality, new poise and purpose from the corset department. Thousands are doing it and all of us would like to be more effective and happier with ourselves. Only by having a fitting and getting the foundations planned for our individual types are we getting the maximum figure flattery — and the most out of life.
