W.W.S.A. Formed In Hunterville

A meeting convened by Mrs. Gordon and held in the Town Hall, Hunterville, drew an attendance of 51 to consider the question of forming a district committee of the Women’s War Service -Auxiliary. Mrs. Gordon presided and expressed pleasure in the number present. She then introduced Miss 0. Warburton, chairman of the Palmerston North committee, also Miss M. Grant, secretary. Miss Warburton explained that she had come ait the request of the Dominion Council, to outline the aims and objects of the W.W.B.A. After her talk questions were invited and answered. Miss Grant gave an indication of the secretarial duties and finance. On the motion of Mesdames Clode and Simpson it was unanimously decided to set up the committee of four, the following being elected: —Mesdames R. Gordon, I. Lynch, and R. Dukeson, also Sister Watson, a further member to be nominated 'by the Government. Thanks were conveyed to the visitors and the meeting adjourned.
