MISS GIBSON, OF COBBE’S Miss A. R. Gibson, who has been on the staff of Cobbe’s for a number of years, was farewelled at closing time on Wednesday, on relinquishing her position to enter the service of C. Smith, TAd. Air. Simmonds, manager, was unavoidably prevented from being present and Air. O. Aldis acted in his place and said how much she would ’be missed but extended hearty congratulations on her promotion. Aligs Gibson, goes forth with the best wishes of all for her future welfare and happiness. Tho Staff wished to show a practical interest in the occasion and asked Miss Gibson to accept a 32-piece dinner service, and in future when using the gift to remember all the pleasant years she had spent with Cob bo’s. Three cheers were called for Miss Gibson, who suitably replied.
