Kitchen Evening

MISS NITA ANSLOW HONOURED A very pleasant evening was spent recently, when Aliss Nita Anslow, who is shortly to be married, 'was tendered a kitchen evening by the ladies’ committee of the Woodville Fire Brigade. The evening was spent in euchre, games, etc., while items by Airs. Orr, Airs. V. Baker and Air. J. Charles, with Airs. Jones as accompanist, were greatly appreciated. On behalf of the Ladies’ Committee, Mrs. H. AlcNeil made a suitable presentation to the guest of honour, simultaneously conveying the good wishes of those present. Following a charming reply by the guest of honour, musical honours were sung. Air. Keith Vogt briefly thanked those present for the fine array of gifts, and the evening concluded with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” The winners of the euchre were: Ladies, Airs. AlcNeil I; men, Air. P. Anslow I; consolation, Miss June Hurley and Air. C. Hares.
