Lieut. L. D. Lovelock left Pahiatua yesterday to take part in the Wellington district manoeuvres. Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Smyth, of Auckland, have now returned homo after visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Smyth, of Main Street. Mr. J. D. C. Crewe, accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. D. Corbett, of Napier have left Pahiatua for a holiday to be spent at Te Awamutu and Rotorua. Messrs. G. Eddie and Colin Eddie, of Mangahao, and C. Isakson, of Pahiatua, have gone to Taupo for a fortnight’s fishing. Mr. J. A. Cooper, of Wairoa, has now taken up his residence in Pahiatua, having been appointed to the staff oi the Regent Theatre.
