An item of intense interest among members in the sewing division <■£ the Red Cross Society, as reported at the annual meeting last evening hacj been the autographed Red Cross quilt organised by Mrs. Ashworth. This reaJii-ed the sum of £73 9s which represented shillings from all over New Zealand, one shilling being charged for eadh name worked on the quilt. The money is to be used for the^ purchase of maV terials to be made up during the year.
