There was a good attendance at the A.N.A. Club dance on Saturday night in Miss Gwen Gibbs’ studio. The hostesses were Mesdames G. M. McCaskill and P. Lane and the pianists Misses P. King and J. Thompson. Community singing was also enjoyed. <§> The Manawatu Scottish Society’s ingleside at the Cosmopolitan Hall on Saturday night was attended by a large number of dancers. Mr. I. Jenkinson was M.C. and competition winners were Mr. and Airs. Karsten (Monte Carlo) and Miss Clark and Mr. Brown (lucky Gay Gordons). <s»<s* The third monthly complimentary dance to members of the Army, Navy and Air Force, given by the Little Theatre Society, took place on Saturday. There was a large attendance and a professional orchestra supplied the music, extras being played by Mr. Robertson. Mr. G. Oates was M.C., Mrs. V. E. Harman, Misses I. Nettlefold, E. Sandman, K. O'Connor and J. Clarke, Messrs. S. Bradfield and J. Harman and members of the committee assisted.
