Further Heavy Raids on Benghazi

ENEMY CONVOYS SEVERELY DAMAGED (British Official Wireless.) Received {Sunday, 9.2 U p.m. RUGBY, April 25. An R.A.F. Middle East communique says: “Further heavy raids were made on Benghazi on the night of April 24-25. Direct nits were registered on the mole with near nusses on a tanker, a merchantman and a tug. Fires were started near military buildings. On the return journey our aircraxt bombed and machine-gunned an enemy convoy near El Arguo some eignty miles from Benghazi. All the boiuus burst among enemy vehicles causing two loud explosions and four very large and brignt fires. Motor transport aud euemy troop concentrations near Akroma auu Derna were also attacked. “Xu Abyssinia our fighters machinegunned au aerodrome at Uombolicia and destroyed two CR 42 lighters on the ground. Enemy troops were attacked at Giimma and Argio. “On other fronts there is nothing to report. One of our fighters is missing.” A Cairo Headquarters communique says: “in the To’oruk area enemy concentrations were successfully broken up by the accuracy and weight of our artillery fire. About Bollum our patrol artillery activity nas been intensified, causing the enemy considerable losses. “Operations about Dessie (Abyssinia) are continuing and further penetration has been maao of the position covering the town from the south. A considerable patriot force is now cooperating in tho area. Further south tuo operations in all areas are proceeding satisfactorily.”
