(From Our Own Correspondent.) Personal Miss E. Titcombe was a Foxton visitor to Baudou during the week-end. Territorials home on week-end leave included Privates C. P. Good, J. Duvey, and It. -Meyer of tho Waiouru Camp. Privates J. Harris und J. Kilpatrick were home on Bunday. Air. AI. AI. Pearce is on a motor tour of the North Island Patriotic Dance The Women’s Institute held a successful dance in aid of the fighting forces comforts fund and the money raised will bo used for providing more w'oollen garments for the minesweepers and also for the parcels which the institute sends overseas. Air. H. J. Fagan, on behalf of the institute thanked all who. had contributed, towards a success-
Lul evening. In institute, he said, hftd done great work in tho past as it had sent sonic 50 parcels away, and two large boxes have been sent to a minesweeper in the North Bea. Every live weeks parcels arc sent to local boys who had left the district and each time i quota is called for seven from Ban so* and two from Ohakea are sent. With tho support of the public tho Institute hoped to do tho same this coming year.
