Free Frenchmen's Part In Bardia Battle

(British Official Wireloss.) BUGBY, Jan. 5. The part played by the Free French Fo.cea in the victorious engagements in North Africa is revealed by the headirters of these forces to-day in the \Y istern Desert. A detachment of a battalion of French marines took a very active part in the advance against the Italians. This detachment, which at the time was patrolling west of positions still held by the enemy at Bardia, had succeeded in cutting the road from Bardia to Tobruk.

In the Sudan, several detachments of Sphis had various encounters with enemy patrols, which rapidly scattered and left a number of dead.
