ADVANCE PARTIES ARRIVE AT DANNEVIRKE Captain R. H. Pcrrett (formerly of the local Army Office, Dannevirke), who has been temporarily acting as staff officer for Area No. 7, was a visitor to Dannevirke with Major Okey, who has been appointed to the post. Staff-Sergeant F. J. Levien, who has been in charge of the Dannevirke Army office for some time, left recently for Waiouru, where he has been appointed regimental quartermaster-sergeant for the second battalion, Hawke’s Bay Regiment, which will go into camp there next week for their three months’ training. Sergeant G. Franklin, of the Napier office, has succeeded Staffsergeant Levien. Field Ambulance Camp An advance party of 19 members of the A.S.CL arrived in Dannevirke last week to make preparations for the camp of the Second Field Ambulance, Second Composite Company, N.Z.A.S.C., and the N.Z. Provost Corps, which will commmcnce at the showgrounds to-day. Major J. M. Rcidy, N.Z.S.C., will bo the camp commandant.
