GOOD RECOVERY BY WELLINGTON MANAWATU MEN PERFORM WELL CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 2. Capturing five good Canterbury wickbts for 102 in the second innings Wellington have played themselves into a strong position in the interprovinciai cricket match. Wellington concluded their first innings for the good total of 316 whicn gives Canterbury a lead of 43 runs, but excellent bowling by Pritchard and Wilson has altered the whole complexion of the game and a win for Wellington is now a distinct possibility. The conditions for play were again excellent with the wicket in good order and the outfield very fast but the attendance was only fair. Scores: — CANTERBURY. First Innings .. 359 {Second Innings.
