Nelson Hill, of New Plymouth, are on a visit to Air. and Airs. R. R. Johnston, Gladstone Street. Air. and Airs. David Simpson and their daughter, of Oamaru, and formerly of Woodville, are the guests of Captain and Mrs. Jones, Fcrgusson Street. Air. Hugh Thompson, of Hastings who was involved in an accident at tho l'apatawa bridge recently and who was later admitted to the Dannevirke Hospital, is reported to be progressing satisfactorily. Air. Charles Forbes, of Waipukurau, has been accepted for service in the Air Force as a wireless operator. Mr. Forbes is a son of Air. and Airs. C. Forbes, of Woodville, and a former pupil of tho Woodville District High School.
