At the coronation celebrations of the Pahiatua Queen Carnival over 700 were present, the door takings being £O3. The result of the two raffles in connection with the queen carnival were as follows;—Grandfather clock, Miss P. Brady; glory box, Mr. Jack Moriarty. During tho evening of the queen carnival’s linal night, the county chairman, Mr. A. W. Bisset, made a presentation to Mr. K. Gardiner, of Kohinui, who is the son of an old soldier of the lust war, and who leaves shortly to join the Fleet Air Arm.
