“Gulliver’s Travels,” the first fulllength animated cartoon to reach the screen since Walt Disney’s “Snow White” of two seasons ago and tho first ever to appear under Paramount ’« banner, screens at the Regent Theatre to-night at 8 p.m.. Conceived, drawn and produced in technicolour by Max Fleischer, who is better known to filmgoers for his “Popeyo” and “Betty Boop,” “Gulliver’s Travels” tells the immortal story Jonathan Swift penned tw’o hundred years ago and which has been a classic ever since. The supporting programme includes “Tho Melbourne Cup, 1940,” and the overture to-“ William Tell,” played by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of U.B.A.
