Feilding Home Guard

Mr. H. Jaggard, enrolment officer, reports satisfactory progress with enrolments, the total having now reached 75 embracing a very useful cross section of the community. Included a.mongst the “recruits” are several young men in tlxeir teens and at least two citizens of 70 years who claim that they will be “as good as the next man’’ for some of the lighter tasks which may arise. The enrolment office at the Council Chambers will be open to-day from 1 to 2 p.m. and from 7 to 8 p.m. and tomorrow morning from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
