Soldiers lo be Farewelled
A number of members of the reinforcements about to proceed overseas are home in Feilding on final leave and
owing to the fact that they return to camp on different dates it will not be possible to hold the usual public sendoff. However, it has been decided to hold a morning tea gathering on Friday morning, .when the Mayor (Mr. T. L. Seddon), together with representatives of the Feilding Patriotic Society and the Returned Soldiers’ Association, will be in attendance to bid the men God-speed. All members of the forces in Feilding who ere now on final leave are requested to get into touch with the hon. secretary of the Patriotic Society (Mr. K. M. Little) or the treasurer (Mr. C. H. Tate) at th 6 Borough Council office. If action in thi3 direction is taken right away it will help to facilitate the arrangements for the send-off.
