Pigs, Poultry and Produce
The Dominion Auctioneering Coy., Ltd., report receiving large entries of both pigs and poultry at their usual weekly sale. Weaners sold to 30s each and porkers to £3 3s. Poultry is still selling particularly well, hens again realising to 6s each and ducks to 5s fid. Fair supplies of .fruit and vegetables came forward, all classes showing a decided improvement on last week's rates. Pigs: Best weaners to 30s, medium 24s to 295, small 15s to 20s; slips, 32s fid to 375; heavy stores 40s to 495, light stores 35s to 395; porkers, £2 4s to £3 3s. Poultry: Heavy hens, 5s to 6s each; best W.L. hens, 4s to 4s fid each; light hens, 2s 10d to 3s 3d each; ducks, young, to 6s 3d each; old ducks, to 3s 6d each; cockerels, heavy, to 4s fid each; roosters, to 4s fid; Turkey gobblers, to lls; Turkey hens, to 8s; hens and chicks, to 22s 9d; pullets, to 6s each.
