Manawatu Spring Show

Established in 18S6, the Manawatu Agricultural and Pastoral Association is recognised as one of the loading associations in the Dominion, and its spring fixture, which takes placo this year on November 6 and 7, is looked forward to by thousands of people throughout tho province, and many other parts of the North Island.

From experience gained in tho World War of 1914-18, it is anticipated that the coming show will receive tho wholehearted support of the farming community, and with tho most favourable spring for many years, it is anticipated that the stock section will be particularly strong. In adidtion to the caKtlo Bection it is anticipated that the shoop and pig sections will also show an increase, the latter in particular; tho valuable cash prizes offered for tho utility classes are creating a great deal of interest, and should result in koc,n competition. Many valuable trophies are offered for competition, including a valuable tea and coffee service for fat lambs.

Entries close for homo industries on October 17, stock classes October 23, but an appeal is made for exhibitors to forward their entries as early as possible before tho closing dates. Copies of schedule will be posted on application to the secretary (A. Pickering), P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North.
