A SPRING SONG

(Original Verse.) Little buds are bursting forth their glory, Each little leaf has its own sweet story. Birds are happy at their play, And all the world is blithe and gay. The Queen of Spring is crowned with flowers As she swings with her perfume from bower to bower. Golden daffodils enter the world Displaying their beauty when petals are unfurled. The delicate scent of the violet is found, In a nook embedded in tho mossy ground, The snowdrops droops her crown of whito As if she were in a sorrowful plight. The narcissus nods her golden head As if she agrees to what Spring has Birds sing the matins in the heavens up high To warn the world that Spring is nigh. —Contributed by Bashful.
