The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved and sent to the Senate a Bill to permit United States ships to bring refugee children from Europe. The War Secretary (Hr. H. L. Slim* son) has ordered the army’s six ordnance manufacturing arsenal* to work a three-shift six-day week to speed up the armament programme.
