VIEWS OF ASSOCIATED CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE

Per Press Association. TIMARU, May 22. To make representations for the formation of a War Cabinet or National Government and tho introduction of conscription and universal service, a deputation from the Associated Chambers of Commerce is to wait on the Prime Minister at. an early date. This announcement was made by Mr. W. S. Mac Gibbon, president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce, at the annual meeting of the South Canterbury Chamber this evening. Mr. Mac Gibbon said Mr. Fraser had agreed to receivo a deputation probably on Friday or Monday next. Mr. Mac Gibbon said: “We do not know what is being done in the country’s war effort.
