(From Our Own Correspondent.) A Tennis Club competition was held on Haturday last. Tnere was a good attendance of members and friends. Competition was keen and members are looking forward to the final competition to be held on King's Birthday, June o. It was announced that the winner of the ladies’ competition was Miss Leone Larsen, the winner of the men's being Mr. Aitchison. Mr. and Airs. Webb donated the competition prizes. Details of the play are as follows: lirst round: Mrs. Aitchison and Mr. Jensen beat Mrs. Webb and Mr. Krivan, 16 — 7; Aliss J. Wilde and Mr. Webb lost to Aliss B. Jackson and Mr. R. Aitchisou, 11 —6; Aliss G. Ranson and V. Alvc beat Miss B. Wilde and L. Clark, 17 — 14; Airs. Krivan and Miss B. Aliers drew' with Alisses P. Watson and I. Jackson, 15 —15; Aliss J. Percy and D. AlcKerras lost to Mrs. Larsen and C. Mackenzie, 11 —14; Mrs. Percy and F. Carson lost to Miss L. Larsen and Miss M. Wilson, 9—14.
Hecond round: Mr. Jensen and Aliss B. Jackson lost to Mr. R. Aitchison and Aliss J. Wilde, 8 —IS; Air. Alve and Aliss Wilson lost to Air. Webb and Aliss L Jackson, 9—13; Air. Krivan and Aliss Larsen drew with Mr. AlcKerras and Aliss Aliers, 15 —15; Mr. L. Clark and Airs. Aitchison lost to Mr. C. Mackenzie and Aliss B. Wilde, 11 —17; Mr. Norman and Mrs. Webb neat Aliss J. The Opiki Y.F.C. held their Alay meeting on Afouday night. Mr. C. Davcy presided over a full attendance of members. Three members of the club, Aiessrs. L. and A. Young and F. Paget, have entered Trentham camp as members of the Third Echelon. The fourth annual report of the Alanaw’atu Ir.F.C.l r .F.C. district committee was read by Air. Davey. Personal. Aiessrs. AI. E. Tantrum, E. Kay, C. Eveleigh, F. Paget, L. A. Young and A. Young are the Opiki members of the Third Echelon of the N.Z.E.F. They left for Trentham last Friday. Mr. J. Wilson, who has been touring the South Island with the Manawatu Young Farmers, has returned home.
