ANOTHER TRAIN SMASH IN GERMANY
(Received 13, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 12. . The Berlin correspondent of the As- ; sociated Press of Great Britain reports, that 17 were killed and 41 injured in a collision between two passenger trains at Hagen, in North-West Germany. This is the seventh serious railway accident that has occurred in Gcr many since the war began, resultin' in 132 people being killed and 157 in lured. HOSPITALS ORGANISED FOR A.I.F. (Received 14, 1.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 14. Fully-equipped hospital units staffed by volunteer medical and nursing staffs will accompany the Second A.I.F. when it leaves for service overseas early next year. The hospital equipment which is to accompany the force includes one casualty clearing station, one 600-bed general hospital, one 1200-bed general hospital, and a number of convalescent depots. The hospital will be staffed by :38 nurses and 106 volunteer imedical practitioners.
