BIG DEATH-ROLL FEARED IN LOSS OF SOVIET LINER

(Received 14, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 13. The Tokio correspondent of the Associated Press states that 87 persons are known to be dead and between 200 and 500 are missing as a result of the sinking of the Russian steamer Indigirka off Hokaido. The cause is unknown. The Japanese ship Karafuto Maru rescued 390 of the passengers and crew.
