AGREEMENT ANNOUNCED TO HOUSE OF COMMONS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, July 25. The agreement on the financial re. quiraments of New Zealand in the United Kingdom, which has been under discussion with th New Zealand Finance Minister, Mr Nash, as well as the trade position, the agreement on which was published as a White Paper last Thursday, was announced to-day in the House of Commons by the Dominions Minister, Sir Thomas Inskip. Sir Thomas said: “As regards the former subject, the British Government has agreed in principle that the facilities of the Export Credits Guarantee Department will be made available to assist in financing United Kingdom imports into New Zealand. Under this arrangement, credits up to £ 5-million sterling will be made available on approved conditions for purchases by the New Zealand Government for defence and other purposes. Short-term export credit facilities up to £ 4-million ster-j ling will also be made available under] suitable conditions to cover exports! from the United Kingdom to importers' in New Zealand other than the New Zealand Government.”
