Plant Pots
Plant pots, If given a coat of one of the quick drying cellulose paints, which can be obtained in small quantities at trifling cost, can be made more attractive for use in the house. It is usually desirable to choose a soft green which will not clash with the green of the foliage or a colour to tone with the room. In addition to being strong and serviceable, ,cement pots for plants possess undoubted decorative value. They are now available in a wide variety of designs to suit any type of home. A convenient surface on which to sharpen knives is provided by the edge of the common variety of earthenware plant pot. Plants may suffer from lack of drainage and inability to “breathe” if care is not taken to see that the hole at the bottom of plant pots is left unblocked. Place a few bits of broken china over the hole, and stir tho earth at the top of the pot periodically so that it does not become caked.
