Samoa Welcomes Lord Galway

Achilles, escorted by 12 native decorated fautasi, anchored in the roadstead at 8 a.m. Their Excellencies came ashore at 10 a.m., and were received by the acting-Adminis-trator, Mr. C. A. Turnbull and Mrs. Turnbull, Chief Judge Harley and Mrs. Harley. On the wharf were the Hon. High Chief Tamasese, European and Samoan members of the Legislative Council, Administration officials, and the wives of faipule and other Samoan officials.
The Guard-of-Honour of Samoan Territorials, under the command of Captain E. Pleasants, was inspected by his Excellency. The whar7 to the town clock memorial tower was lined with school children. His Excellency placed a wreath on the memorial towei and inspected a parade of returnee soldiers. The party then proceeded to Mulinv for native ceremonies. The streets wer gaily decorated with arches and flag: The weather was excellent, with orilliant sunshine. Over 2000 persons lined the shore and street around the customs office and clock tower. A hearty and loyal welcome to Samoa was given by all. J
