CRICKET- TEST T. Interrupts with \ Indies 85 for 3 LONDON, July 24. England declared their first innings closed at seven for 164 in the second day’s play of the cricket Test against the West Indies. The tourists, at stumps, in their first innings had scored 85 for the loss of three wickets, rain car ring play to be abandoned for the d' - e start of play to-day was delayed until 12.15 p.m. owing to the wetness of the wicket, and bad light held up play for a further half-hour. Most of the batsmen were nonplussed by the sticky wicket. Hardstaff was brilliantly aggressive, hitting a six and seven fours. Scores - ENGLAND. First Innings.
