Troops Ambushed

JERUSALEM, July 23. Armed Arabs, believed to be members of the gaDg which kidnapped Rev. Gerald Goldmer, the American missionary, on Thursday, ambushed a party of British soldiers south of Hebron, killing one and wounding four. Mr. Goldmer to-day sent the following note to his father, Rev. Jacob Goldmcr: “Dear Pops: lam fine, and am being well treated. Hope to sec you to-morrow.” The father was captured with Gerald, but was released.
