Ladies’ Hockey

FEILDING BEAT MANAWATU Feilding ladies were too good for Mauawatu in both A aud B representative hockey matches played at the Hokowhitu Domain on Saturday. In the A match the visitors won by four goals to one and in the B match by two goals to one. The teams for the A match wero as follow: Manawatu: E. Gloyn, G. Taylor, M. Kearns, K. Scales, H. Griffin, M. Toye, P. Hancox, G. Smith, V. Rolleston, D. Tucker, Y. Green. Feilding: D. Field, J. Haumona, M. Bottcher, M. Bush, M. Aitken,, E. Fitch, E. Davidson, M. Packer, G. Hawken, P. Williams, E. Sheppard. Manawatu opened the scoring per medium of M. Kearns, but by half-time Feilding were in tho lead, M. Bottcher having scored twice. In tho second spell M. Bush added two more goals. The score was a fairly accurate indication of the run of the play. The umpires were Rev. W. B. Cuming (Marton) aud Mr. M. A. Levy. 111 the B match B. Oldfield and B. Iwakau scored for Feilding and J. Hancox for Manawatu. Messrs. V. Turner and L. V. Trass were the umpires.
