Badminton
The Manawatu Association will be playing its B representatives in a match against Wairarapa this afternoon at Manawatu Central’s courts. Last year tho match was played at Masterton, when Wairarapa won by 14 to 10. The following arc the local players.—Men: R. Rotheray, R. Hill, F. * Laing, W. Gloyn, F. Mac-Rae, G. Adam?. Women: Mrs. Mackay, Miss Hansard, Mrs. New, Miss Swanwick, Mrs. Rotheray, Mis* Liddell. Messrs. Goodwin, Brown, Younger and Misses bargisson and L. Rutherford were unavailable. Next Saturday' the A representatives will play Hawke’s Bay at Dannevirke. This should be a very even match, with the odds slightly in favour of Mnnawalu. C. Shecrin, who beat Eric Roussell last* week-end, should account for Pat Watson, but W. Jensen will have to move to beat Noel Wilson, who two years ago was considered one of New Zealand's best badminton players.
