A quantity of gelignite and detonators was stored in the building, the detonators exploding during tile fire. Shotgun ammunition also exploded, pellets being found on the other tilde of the river after tho Only the safe and scales from the storo were saved. Two safes iu tho post office behind the storo were destroyed.

Insurances so far known arc £IOOO on tho building and contents with the Alliance Co.
