Mr. and Mrs. K. Cull and family left on Thursday for a holiday to be spent In the Taranaki district.
A week-end visitor to Foxton was the Rev. A. H. Scriven, general secretary of the home mission department of the Mthodist Church of New Zealand. Rev. Scriven occupied the pulpit at the Methodist Church on Sunday evening. School Sports Tiwo basketball teams and a football team from the Levin High School visited Foxton on Wednesday afternoon to participate in matches with the teams from the secondary department of the local District High School. Tho basketball matches were played on the school courts with the following results: Foxton A 8, Levin 7; Foxton B 9, Levin 15. The football, which was played on Easton Park and refereed by Mr. C. Carmont, resulted in a win for Foxton by 25 points to 3. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea prior to returning to Levin.
