Anglo-Turkish Interests Identical

Hopes of Drawing Bulgaria Into Entente

TURKISH PRESIDENT’S VIEW

United Pres* Association.—By Electric

Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 11.40 p.m. LONDON, July 10,

The Daily Telegraph’s Ankara correspondent interviewed Ismet Ineuna (Turkish President) who said Britain had a most loyal ally in the Turkish people who are sincere in their intention to carry out their obligations under the alliance.

“The British and Turkish alms are identical,” he added, “and in view of this it is essential they should stand together. If Britain is weakened in the Mediterranean Turkey would suffer.” He hoped Bulgaria would be induced to join the Balkan Entente in the interests of peace.
