German Claims to Have 34,000 War ’Planes

AND 100,000 PILOTS Received Tuesday, 1 a.m. LONDON, July 10.

The Evening Standard says Dr. Eckhardt, leader of the Hungarian Opposition Party, stated that the German General Staff informed the Hungarian General Staff that the German Air Force now totalled 34,000 machines.

The Hungarians accept this figure but point out that it contains many obsolete and training machines. Hungary believes Germany possesses 100,000 pilots but many are only part trained.
