It is reported from Shanghai that Wang Clung Wei has returned and bought up many newspapers and news agencies for propaganda for the new Japanese-sponsored Federal Government.
He has installed himself in a steeldoored mansion with sentry posts. Broadcasting against Chiang Kai-shek he advocated co-operation between China and Japan for political and economic benefits.
The first of Wang Chingwei’s newspapers appeared carrying pro-Jap and anti-British propaganda but the newsboys refused to sell it even though it was offered to them free.
