Duke of Kent’s Voyage to Australia
PET PONT TO BE TAKEN LONDON, May 26. Preparations are already being made for the departuro of the Duke of Kent and his family for Australia in the autumn. Tho Duke aud Duchess ure uow r deciding what staff to take, what to do with their various pets, how to dispose of their furniture, aud other .such problems. They are at present making arrangements for dosing dowu Coppins, their country home near Iver, Bucks. The Duchess has had a series of special photographs taken for circulation in Australia. She is reserving two of these for parting gifts to personal friends. Tho Duke aud Duchess have decided to take Nurse Smith with the children, Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra, so that there shall be no break in the continuity of their training. Farino, their Shetland pony, will go too. He will leave Coppins in the same way as he arrived—securely packed in a large crate. Once on the ship he will be released. Tho Duke is asking £45,000 for tho estate, which was left to him under the will of his aunt, the late Princess Victoria. He has made great improve'ments, including the clearance of trees, many of which he cut down himself.
