“Topper Takes a Trip” —to France
CONSTANCE BENNETT AND ROLAND YOUNG COSTARRED (State: Screening Friday week.) “Topper Takes a Trip” is one of the gayest and funniest comedies to reach the screen this season. The cast includes Constance Bennett, Roland Young, Billie Burke, Alan Mowbray, Veree Teasdale, Alexander D’Arcy, Franklin Pangborn, Paul Hurst and Armand Ivaliz. Roland Young again plays the role of Cosmo Topper, the bewildered banker, who is about co lose his prim and conventional wife, played by the ever delightful Billie Burke. Constance Bennett, beautiful and glamorous, portrays again the ghostly Marion Korby, who is anxiou3 to assist the unhappy Toppers in regain ing marital happiness, j “Topper Takes A Trip,” which you have probably guessed is a sequel to last year’s successful “Topper,” swing} its action from New York to the pictorial brilliance of the French Riviera j where Topper proceeds to race from one i jam to another under the stage-manage ment of Marion and her phantom hoaxes.
