Wanganui Farmer Killed

GUN CAUGHT IN FENCE Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Last Night. With a gunshot wound in his chest a Rapanui farmer, David James Phillips, aged 54, was found dead by his wife in a paddock on his farm this afternoon. The body was lying beside a fence in which the gun was caught. Mr. Phillips had farmed in the Rapanui district for the last twenty years.
