Mr. M. A. Conway, of Cheltenham, who has been seriously ill, is reported to be making good progress towards recovery.
Colonel R. J. Travers, manager of the Australian Consolidated Press, Limited, Sydney, was a through passenger by the Mariposa, returning from a holiday trip to Suva.
Rev. Father E. McEvoy, of Townsville, Queensland, was a through passenger for Australia on the Mariposa. He is returning to Townsville after spending 16 months in Ireland, the United States and Canada.
A London cable states that SquadronLeader Combe, pilot of one of the Vickers-Wellesley ’planes on the recordbreaking flight from Egypt to Australia non-stop in November last, was married to Miss Eileen Jessop, of Christchurch, at Kensington. The wedding was a military one.
