St. Paul’s Guild

MONTHLY MEETING HELD The monthly meeting of St. Paul’s Guild was held in the schoolroom on Thursday afternoon. The hostesses, Mesdames Carrad and Bisset, had effectively decorated the room with bowls of chrysanthemums. The president (Mrs. A. A. Armstrong) was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Britland, Etz, Grantham and Loney and Misses Dick. Mrs. Bussell, a visitor from Dunedin, was welcomed to the meeting. Mrs. H. Smith was thanked for arranging flowers in church the previous month, and Mrs. Carrad agreed to attend to them during the coming month.

A busy afternoon was spent arranging for the forthcoming bazaar. Members are asked to bring materials suitable for making into sweets to the next meeting. Tho hostesses served a dainty aftrenoon tea, and the remainder of the time was spent in competitions.
