A moral re-armament demonstration was held for 20,000 citizens of New York at Madison Square Gardens, America’s Forum, yesterday, when Dr. Frank Buchman and Mr. H. W. Austin, the English tennis player, were the chief speakers. The meeting was sponsored by Mrs. James Roosevelt, the President’s mother, Governor Lehman, of New York, and ex-Governor Al Smith. The whole proceedings are to be broadcast at 12.30 a.m. Greenwich time (12 noon New Zealand time), to-day, from WIXAL, 11.73 megacycles (equivalent to 25. G metres), including messages from the American Congress, the Lord Mayor of London, fifty Canadian Mayors and a trans-Atlantic telephone call from three British statesmen.
