Farewell Party for Miss Audrey England
“Aro Tai,” Cunninghams, the home of Airs. B. H. England, was the scene of an extremely enjoyable party on Thursday evening when Misses Naomi Craine and Kay Batchelar gave a farewell party for Aliss Audrey England, who is shortly leaving for an extended visit to England. The party took the form of a dance and the guests spent a happy evening dancing until a late hour. The guests were received by Alisses Craine and Batchelar, the former wearing blue shot taffeta and the latter a frock of scarlet taffeta. The guest of the evening was wearing pale green chiffon with a twisted sash of pink and green. At a suitable moment during the ovening Air. Stewart Craine proposed the toast of Mrs. England and Aliss England and they were accorded musical honours. Tho health of Alisses Craine and Batchelar was also proposed and duly honoured. Those present at the party were Alesdames B. H. England, D. E. Batchelar, Misses Alary French (Kiwitea), Patricia Shannon (Cunninghams), Alerle Rouwell (Stratford), Margaret Parkes, Peggy Baker, Patricia Fowler, Alarjorie Petrie, Anne Fawcett, Lois Frecklington, Beth Little and Messrs Brian Miller, Bill Dashwood, Dudley Humphrey, Cam Parkes, Arthur Bignall, Phil Bramwell, Cedric Andrews, Anthony Fowler, David Graham (Feilding), Stewart and Gordon Craino, Douglas Fleury, Eric Batchelar, Gerald Coggin, Dick French (Kiwitea), Eric Krull (Aorangi), Bey Shannon (Cunninghams), Charles Burrell (Cheltenham) and Errol Craine (Stanway).
