Women’s Division of The Farmers’ Union

DISPLAY AT CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION At the last meeting of the provincial executive of the. Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union in Southern Hawke’s Bay, notification was received from headquarters that the month of December had been allotted to the combined executives of Southern and Northern Hawke’s Bay with others, to display crafts at the Centennial Exhibition, and it is suggested that during the Dominion Conference in July, the delegates of the executives concerned should meet by arrangement to formulate a suitable plan. Suggested crafts ase spinning and weaving and wool exhibits from homespun wool if possible, rugs, quilts, mattresses, needlework, line embroidery, lace, knitting and crochet, basketry, skins and hides (rabbit skin articles), leather, fur, feathers, wool, toys from wool or fur, papier mache, articles from

wood, shells, clay or cones, and outstanding exhibits of any kind, but particularly those made from natural resources. It is hoped that members with clever fingers will set to work, for exhibits must be sent in before the beginning of October.
