Labour Party Meeting
OFFICERS ’ RESIGNATIONS ACCEPTED There was a largo attendance at the monthly meeting of the Woodville J branch of the Labour Party. Mr. A. H. Collins presided. Air. L. C. Hurley, delegate to the Easter Conference, gave a comprehensive report, for which he was thanked, and appreciation was expressed of the able manner in which ho had represented the branch. Owing to circumstances which had arisen, the president (Mr. W. H. Wilks) reluctantly tendered his resignation of that office, and it was accepted with regret. Mr. H. Hunt (vice-president) also re-
signed owing to his transfer to Tokomaru. The resignation was accepted with regret, and a letter of appreciation is to be forwarded to Mr. Hunt for his past services. Mr. A. H. Collins was elected president, Mr. J. Hutchinson vice-president, Mr. J. Bcott delegate to the Labour Representation Committee, and Mrs. Paddy deputy delegate.
